National Siblings Day | Richmond Virginia’s Best Newborn Photographer

As a photographer, there are moments that stop you in your tracks—not because of perfect lighting or the ideal pose, but because of the feeling. This session was one of those. With National Siblings Day here, I can’t think of a better time to share a little love between this sweet big brother and his brand-new baby sister.

The way he looked at her during our shoot… it was pure wonder. You could see in his eyes that he already knows his job is to love and protect her. And she? Swaddled up like a little bean and perfectly content leaning against him. It’s the kind of unspoken bond that only siblings share—and I was so lucky to capture it.

This photo just melts me. Big brother’s joyful grin, her inquisitive expression—they're already opposites in the best way. These are the moments that become family treasures, the ones that will be pulled out years from now to say, “Remember how little you were?”

On National Siblings Day, we celebrate those built-in best friends. As a photographer, I get to witness the beginning of that bond—and freeze it in time for families to hold onto forever.
