Excitement surged through me when the exceptionally talented cellist, Juliana Soltis, reached out to collaborate on her third studio album's cover and promotional materials. Titled "American Woman," the album is a vibrant tribute to the often overlooked composers of America's past, featuring captivating pieces for cello and piano by remarkable women such as Amy Beach, Helen C. Crane, Mary Howe, Florence Price, Margaret Bonds, and Dorothy Rudd-Moore. Despite their significant acclaim during their lifetimes, these composers and their music faded into obscurity after their passing.
