I'm sure you're all familiar with the classic story A Charlie Brown Christmas. I've always loved the story and Charlie's compassion for the small, frail, spindly tree. When my sister (LIz) and I were young my parents took us a few times to cut down a real tree and those are some of the best memories of my childhood. My aunt Sis who was single and didn't have any kids of her own (except for us) never put up at tree or decorated for Christmas. It always made me so sad although it didn't seem to bother her much. So while we were out looking for our perfect tree I would search for one much like Charlie Brown's and bring it home to Sis. She loved the little tree (or at least pretended to) we decorated it and proudly displayed it in her apartment. These memories, along with a picture my sister showed me on Pinterest, were the inspiration behind this photo shoot.
The only thing left to do was convince B-dog to cooperate. Much to my surprise he was willing and excited to do it. The deal was sealed when I told him he could use a real saw (he's into anything that could cause real destruction). We had a few setbacks in the beginning with lost rope, missing cookies, and a dead car battery but six hours later had accomplished our holiday mission. I hope you enjoy our little Christmas story!
Special thanks to my dad Jim for always being there for me and coming along as my second shooter! He's learning pretty quick! xoxo
Merry Christmas!
