Empowering Woman

I’d like to introduce you to one of my amazing clients who is a leader in empowering woman, particularly mothers. I first met Jenny while I was photographing an event called The Mama’s Retreat in Midlothian VA. Not too long after I photographed her newborn baby girl. I was thrilled when Jenny reached out a couple of years later for a completely different type of session. Jenny was in need of professional headshots for her website called “wHoly Mom”. Jenny is a wife, a mother and a life coach to other amazing mamas. Too often we moms end up putting ourselves last because we are too busy putting everyone else first. I know when I was a new mom I felt guilty when I was away from my son and guilty when I was with him because all I wanted was a break! It took me many years to learn that taking care of myself physically and emotionally first was the best thing I could do for my kids. They needed a mother who was not overwhelmed, who had energy, patience and felt good about herself and her life.

What Jenny is doing is important powerful work and I wish I had met her about 12 years ago! It was an honor photographing her as not just as a mom, but as a unique, beautiful, strong, intelligent empowered woman!
